VW - Valeting

Greeners:
VW use companies such as 'Auto Klenz' and these guys use dirty sponges and water to 'clean' cars! They are also paid by the amount of cars they do! You do the math  :scared:

They are maybe a step up from the guys in Sainsbury's car park with a trolley and a bucket!  :scared: :scared:

Wakefield don't have a body shop mate or I hope not because they sent me to Huddersfield to have my rust examined? I wish they did though as I might be a little bit more confident in there abilities.

I think I maybe confusing it with their accident center. There's something back there  :signLOL:

Have you learnt nothing from here? Never listen to me!

In all honesty, as JPC said, even body shops do crap work. I'd take a detailer/someone who knows what to look for and go over the car after their "polish". Give them the choice of correcting it or paying for a detail.

Boothy:
Been to VW today and they wouldn't allow anyone else to try and rectify the issue until they had ago. Initially I said yes but then the more and more I heard him talk the more scared I got! I asked him how they would prepare the car ready for using the buffer and basically he just said "we'll give it a wash with some soapy water". He said they wouldn't clay it first to remove any contaminants and talked about using plenty of grade 6 compound (presumably more aggressive than 3) which sounds harsh so I just said don't bother.
I'm gonna type up my email to VW this afternoon about the poor service, the rust and the scratches. Its about time they did something right for me for a change!

alexperkins:
"Some soapy water" just about sums their lack of knowedge up!
