Transforms what was already a very beautiful Ed30 into something very special.

You now need to do the rear VW badge! :happy2: 8) :happy2:

@ Phil:

I might add that seeing how exceptionally clean and shiny your car is I am always instantly filled with two thoughts : -

1 - I feel disgusted at my own inability/laziness/unwillingness to invest so much time and energy into achieving such a high standard of detailing/finish.

2 - I think to myself "F*ck it! What's the point? Everytime I spend a mere 2 hours just handwashing my car it usually needs cleaning again a few days later because of English weather. I'm simply not prepared to turn into my father and wash my car religiously every Sunday. Actually he often made me wash his car!

There's nothing wrong with getting someone else to do it RR, even if it's just once in a while. Go on....treat the car to a detail...you know you want to!

I clean my car as often as possible, more to protect the paint than anything else. No point trying to keep a car to 150k if the paint fails before the engine does!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Steve, this mod has COMPLETELY transformed the look of your car. It looks superb. Its really how the ED30 kit (and similarly on the GTI) should have come out of the factory.

Unfortunately, CF black trim doesn't contrast too well on a black car.

silver does though  :happy2:

looks amazing Phil , and those silver wheel caps really stand out as diff in those new photos  :drinking:

Not meaning to hijack the thread but what do people think to red lower lip and rear valance and carbon front mask on a black car?

Photoshop anyone?

^^^Have a look at Greenouse's thread. He's got a red lower lip. Hasn't touched the rear valance (yet!).

In my opinion, on black car : -

- Red Lower Lip = OK on a black car but depends too on the wheels. (50/50)

- Red Rear Valance = Will look cheap and overdone. (Yuk!)

- Carbon Front Mask = OK as it's quite subtle. (OK)

Hmm still undecided, I like the lower red splitter but unsure about the back valance and rather than the cf look front mask I think a matte finish would look better.

Need to get a photochop on the go.
