After

Before
Spent ages wire wool and autosol :( not much of an improvement ?

Getting there, don't think there where ever cleaned by previous owner :(

alexperkins:
Are those before and after pictures in the wrong order? The 'after' looks covered in soot

Richn83:
Yeah the after pic is the first one, he has labelled them up right just in a counter intuitive order.

As I can still see the autosol on them you need to get yourself a damp cloth and give them a wipe over then give them another clean and polish.  once you have got rid of the dirt you need to avoid adding too much autosol and use a clean cloth to buff them up to a really nice shine sometimes too much polish or product leaves a bad finish.  :happy2:

I bet oven cleaner would be awesome.

What about something like oven pride?

X2 - I used Wonder Wheels yesterday, along with a wheel cleaning brush (that I don't plan on using again on the wheels!) and finally some Autosol. 20 mins work from them being covered in soot having never cleaned them with more than shampoo in 2 years, and they looked great. It was also quite easy, compared to wire wool and Autosol
