Shark performance stage 3 vcds logs - your thoughts?

<< < (4/10) > >>

PDT:
Logs show there is plenty if headroom left there for more power with more ignition advance, need to get it on a dyno and see if more advance helps, possibly its at MBT already (minimum best timing). This is the one area of mapping thats impossible to get right without dyno testing.

Glad you got a stg3 that works for yoy Dom, I gave up developing our stg2+ as no matter how much time I put into it it wasnt as good as Revo.

If you and Shark want to ever test any changes to the map with dyno tesing and logging you are more than welcome to book some tuning time :happy2:

Yep, I know dyno time helps development a lot. The last map that shark sent had loads of extra timing put into it, he thought I would be getting 4-6 on the timing pull with it, and was quite suprised when it only yeilded 1.5, and there is  lot of 'actual' boost there, and suprisingly enough its only running max of 121 bar of fuel rail pressure, and its still running rich somehow?

Just spoke to shark, and theyre writing another map for my car. Thanks for the offer for dyno time Dave, but shark prefered me to wait until the Rs tuning RR day to see what the figures are like.

Just gets better!
Did my dailycommute to work, the most mpg I ever got on this trip with the stage 2 pdt map was 31.2mpg.
I took it easy today with the new map cos of traffic,  and got 39.7mpg! Not bad out a stage 3 remap :jumpmove:

another bonus

Sure you didnt flash a diesel map onto the ecu by mistake :signLOL:
