The best tyres for traction (road legal)
Carrera2RS:
How noisy are the R1R's ? And how many miles is realistic for fast road and motorway ?
I loved Dunlop Formula R's on an E30 M3 in the distant past. Bloody noisy through !

I must say that the R1R surprised me possitively, they weren't that much noisier than a standard roadtyre, really a great tyre :happy2: :drinking:

I'd now buy the PSS for every day use and the Direzza 03G for track
or as a compromise the R1-R which seems to cover both demands.
I still run the Conti SC3 on road, which isn't sports oriented and the
Federal 595 RS-R on track which is too noisy for every day and not
good in the wet. Also there are some splicing issues on the tread.
Sadly in my Auto-X class true R-comps aren't allowed. So I cannot
run Direzzas. Next year I'll change class and I see no true alternative
to the 03G to be competitive.
