Top Cat:
I think even stop start journey's 22 mpg is to low, I would invest in diagnostic rolling road session and find out for sure.

the car is still under warranty so would like to get them to look at it for free...

otherwise how much would the rolling road session cost to do? would be interested anyway to see what power the car is running

Rolling roads are around £50-£60 normally, or around £30-£40 when its a group day.

This normally includes 3 power runs and a print out of your best run.

duncan:
that sounds pretty reasonable - can anyone reccomend any ones near surrey / west london?

do they just put the car on the rollers and give you a print out? how would this help find out if i had a problem with burning too much fuel?

stealthwolf:
Dunno about other rollers but at JKM you get a power/torque curve and a power/afr:p curve. The latter tells you the air:fuel ratio used so you know if you're running too rich or too lean.
