Security Wheel Bolt

(1/2) > >>

garrardrj:
The Security wheel bolt on my car has been damaged and the key turns inside the bolt as all the ridges have been worn/wrung off. This is after its visit to my local VW Garage for service. They say they didn't do it and don't remove wheels during a service !

Anyway how can i get it off so i can replace it?

Sparky Craig:
Would this help ?

garrardrj:
Yes may do , but until i buy it i won't know. The security bolt is on a Pescara wheel so don't know whether it will fit over the old security bolt and not cause any damage to the wheel. Anyone?

Andy:
the socket in the link won't work as it won't fit over the out side..Amazes me that you take your car into the dealers for a service and they don't remove the wheels :fighting:as they can get stuck onto the hub after a while..i have removed them in the past with a set of sump plug sockets or if your in the AA etc they have the proper tool for it
