GIAC Remap & REVO DSG Remap????
chris s:
I've just got the Stage 1 GIAC map on my Ed 30, but the DSG feels like it can't cope... so was considering having it mapped... but did not want to waste my cash on a REVO map for my DSG with the GIAC map on the ECU if they didn't work well together
alexperkins:
What makes you feel that the DSG cant cope? Stage one shouldnt be an issue at all on the DSG box
chris s:
It may just be my getting used to DSG and the car in general [as i only had it 2 weeks before the remap], but I feel it's too willing to change if left in D or S, and the only time I feel it's coming close to it's potential is when I use the paddles to change....
I've come from a 350Z, so it's totally different experience and may well be me and not the DSG.
alexperkins:
DSG does take a while to get used to. The willing to change is mainly controlled by the pressure on the accelerator pedal. Light pressure itll change quickly up the gears at lower revs, higher pressure itll change slower with higher RPM
I know that may sound obvious, but try varying your throttle pedal pressure :signLOL:
Poppa Dom:
Take it out for a b road blast in m using paddles and put a few miles on it.
