Gave the GTI an Oil and Filter change. Switched from OEM 5W-30 to Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 (VW 502.00) as the weather is a bit chilly of late plus I plan on giving it a remap soon so the thicker viscosity should help on that front.

Next on my to do list: Replace the K&N filter pod setup with the Revo Intake Kit.

Did try luke but the oem blade is .mm thicker than the new so it'll have to to be filed down, rather not mess with that and f it up

Good work  :happy2:

Not really feeling it myself.  The MK7 key is bigger and uglier imo, but I certainly approve of fiddling with stuff

I had the Mk7 fob to my Mk5 - and it's taking some getting used to the bigger fob, well atleast it did for me, and to be honest I just changed back to the original Mk5.
This fob is alot bigger than the genuine Mk7 fob.

If it was possible to change to a genuine Mk7 key I wouldn't doubt to change my Mk5 to that :)

Hoping you'll like the key mate :)

Fair play there was a note under the wiper arm. He is popping over this afternoon. But the quarter panel looks out of shape although i'm the only one who can see it. Will they even fix that?

Just infront of the wheel.

Really feel for you and hope its gets sorted to your satisfaction soon.
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!
