If that doesn't do it then I couldn't imagine what it would be. With a misfire showing up on data logs it would have to be due to something electrical.

Unless, there is a slight chance, there is some build up on the intake valves that is preventing combustion pressure due to a slightly open valve. But I don't know for sure if the data logs would show this in this case.

Tfsi_Mike:
Haven't had a chance to do any proper logging it was just counting on basic measuring.

@ 59k good chance of the carbon on intake valves, I mentioned it to mechanic at Vw today and he looked at me blankly as if to dismiss it withou even giving it thought as if I hasn't a clue what I'm on about :(

ROH ECHT:
I too am learning that most Mech's are the ones who don't have a clue about what goes on with our FSI's in the real world. Mine thought that the cam followers will not wear once you have changed the intake cam to the version 'B'. He thought, possibly because VW told him, that the version 'A' cam is what causes everything to go wrong with that. :stupid:

Today I put my MKV to sleep (KILL MODE) for two weeks while I'm away in Italy.

Changed the timing belt today. What a bitch is that one part belt cover ... Anyways, new timing belt, new filters, new oil, new spark plugs :-)

Didn't have the time to replace the cam follower. Anyone got a pointer to the correct procedure to remove it? I don't have a pressure valve since I have a very early revision of the axx engine. How do I get rid of the pressure? Pull the fuse and start the engine until it runs out of petrol?

Also noticed I have a B revision diverter valve. Ordered a D revision, just to be sure.

There's a spot on guide on doing cam follower on here, quick search will bring it up  :happy2:
