Cheers! I know you're a stickler for the ole high mileage GTIs  - would you say £7k for a 120,000 mile edition 30 in red with FVWSH and 1 owner from new is a bad price? I'm going to take a look at it later, but the 120,000 miles is putting me off.;.

Would hope to get it down to £6.7k or so.

Still think it is quite expensive - check the spec and condition of mine out and it was £3750  :P

Did away with my boring standard rear valance

And fitted my smoothed colour codded one  :jumpmove:

Looks great  :happy2:, I've been thinking of doing this, so is it the same one with just the upper part painted? I would like to do the side skirts as well hopefully.
Yea I just used a standard valance. Couple of coats or high build primer and sanded back smooth painted the top silver and painted the bottom bit satin black to give it the freshly dressed look

Went to see AKS Alex today
He told me i had the dirtiest inlet valves  he has had to clean will try to post before and after pics when he emails them to me
My car is 08 Edition 30 with just under 59000 miles
Also had the sub frame bolts renewed with locking washers added
Great service from Alex as always also showed me a 3 inch TBE he had made and fitted to a MK1 golf he was working on really impressive

I've seen yours alright! Stonking deal with the wingbacks!

Got him down to £6.5k, but I walked as I was looking to pay £6.2 to £6.3k. For an ed30 I thought it was an okay price, but the car had a LOT of stone chips on the front splitter, bonnet and roof. Respray needed for sure.

Other than that, mich pilot sport 3s all around. Wheels in good condition, 1 could do with a refurb. Gear lever was stiff compared to mine when moving through gears. Engine sounded like a diesel. Worse than any I've heard.

Pass.
