Itg Panel filter

Hey guys  my Itg Panel filter arrived in the post from Merlin Motorsport today :jumpmove: Haven't fitted it yet but was after a bit of Info on it before it swap it with the old Pipercross 1! I remember hearing someone say on here that the got 1 and before fitting they had to wipe any excess oil from the filter is this true? :confused:

Yes it's true!

Wipe/mop up the excess oily stuff with a kitchen roll then you are good to go.

I didn't wipe mine and have never had a problem in over 40k miles so far. I'm not saying you shouldn't wipe though.
