Fitted Forge supersize Dv today. Have a decent idle but is stalling every time I slow right down  :sad1:

Going to check everything is tight to ensure there are no leaks and check the o ring inside the dv to ensure its seated properly.  Further than that god knows  :confused:

Hasn't been my week.

Also raised the car today, 300mm arch to top of my team dynamics wheel cap all round. Is much more driveable but may need to come up another 5mm as its still scrubbing.

Tightened the hose clamps last night and went for a spin, still stalling when slowing down...

Going out now to take a look inside the DV to check the seal.

When removing the nuts for the original DV bracket the part below pulled away from the inlet manifold a little



(the brown bit) It pushed back on okay, could something have been damaged causing a leak?

Further than that any ideas?

It wasn't broke, shouldn't have fixed it.  Typical shiny kit syndrome as usual

Was going to get Diff next but after the weeks List of fails I'm going to take Paul @ REVO up on his amnesty deal to make myself feel better.

I missed out on a FREE swap from APR to REVO at Awesome Gti so Paul has offered me discounted amnesty deal.

Raising car a further 10mm this week and having geo re checked.

Going to ring or Email BDM about my disappointment in the "fast road setup" that I was  quoted £150 for and paid £200 for a car much worse than when it arrived   :sick:

Mike. RobH had some issues with stalling and I'm sure it was something to do with his Forge DV (normal size)

Give him a message as I'm sure he got to the bottom of it.

That car will be able to track way above your abilities now.  Use that cash for trackdays and use it for what it was modified for

Ill be sticking to Wheels in Motion or Centergravity for my alignment work then.  They are alot cheaper as well.

Sorry, off topic but i can't recommend centre gravity enough - Chris is nothing short of a genius and will be the only person i trust and use for any chassis work now. Not sure about them being cheaper but definitely a case of you get what you pay for!

Yeah, that's what I meant. I'm wondering if what was wrong with his is what's causing your problems.

What's supposed to be the benefit of the super sized valve?

Had no bother at all with the normal size one, just fancied seeing what difference the supersize one made.

Not sure which Revision / Version Steve put on for me.  Ordering a new D on Monday morning.

TT lower arms:

Has everyone else has bad clearance issues?  The car is/was quite low admittedly but has been raised about 12mm all round and still catches.

It didnt seem to catch when very roughly set up, but did hourendously after alignment at BDM.

I'm going to raise it again but feel I'm just undoing the camber I bought the adjustable arms for in the 1st place?

Any input welcome  :drinking:
