Remove the nob to isolate the battery & prevent drain  :happy2:

So if I'm going to leave the car standing I take my nob out  :scared:

Oh ok... i just cant work out in my head how it works. Good idea tho  :happy2:

There's some insulation in the main body.  Haven't looked properly but the knob screwing in completes the circuit.

I won't do it that often. It just means I have to put a pin code in to be able to switch maps

I found thread on here where you we're looking at getting some Seat alloy centre caps for your TD's, did you ever get any that fit?
I have TD's on my Leon and the centre caps are looking a bit tatty so I was thinking about getting some Seat caps to fit the wheels if there is any.

Dave at sere measured all the available ones and they where all the wrong diameter :(

If you have the VWR 1.2s without the text around the rim, they are designed to fit with oem Vw centre caps and perhaps Seat ones too?

Oh well thanks for the help, mine have the text round the rim so I'll just have to get some new TD centre caps.

Mk1 Seat Leon centre caps should fit. My TD1.2's fit MKIV VW centre caps, so if the design is the same as the Leon then they should fit......if you follow me.
Golf R gone.

Yeah you'd think so. I'm sure Dave gave me all the diameters available & non of them would fit :-(

This is in black mind you, perhaps more are available in silver?
