400bhp+
« on: August 14, 2011, 10:04:02 am »
Hi guys, my ed30 is currently running 300bhp with a twintake fitted but I'm planning to go stage 3 in the future
Just curious to see what would be needed to hit 400bhp+?
my list so far (no handling mods in the list but are on the cards)
Revo stage 3 map
Blueflame hybrid TBE (end of this month)
S3 intercooler
Forge twintercooler....I can get the s3 cooler at cost so may aswell
S3 injectors
Autotech hpfp internalls
Forge hoses plus the high end discharge pipes fron awsome

Am I right in saying all the above should see me to 340/350 bhp?
So maybe a hybrid turbo would put me near the 400bhp? Is there more lag with stage 3 and a hybrid turbo?

Any help would be great

You already have S3 injectors if you have an ED30.

Stage 2+ with the mods you have listed will get you around the 350bhp mark, I would also add the RS4 fuel pressure relief valve to that list as well as a decent intake.

Revo Stage 3 is for the GT3071 turbo but then you will be in the area of needing engine internals (pistons, values, etc) so you will be talking big money. This will have a lot more lag so won't be as drivable as your current setup.

Yes people use the S3 injectors when upgrading from a K03 to a K04, for stage 3 with a GT3071R Revo list the RS4 injectors as being required as well.

RS4 valve helps maintain the 130 bar pressure that is requested on a lot of the stage 2+ maps.

Yes the high pressure fuel pumps on the TFSI engine when upgraded will be requested to reach 130bar on stage 2+ code.

Just to be technically correct, the rs4 valve will open at 136 bar vs the standard valve at 130 bar.

A hybrid k04 with giac mapping plus all the necessary hardware has shown over 400hp at flywheel
