You need to spend at least a day or two working on it. This is basicly what I  do.
Here I my weapons of choice.

Day1.
First I will wash it , two bucket method. Then dry it.
Then I clay it all over using a good detailing spray as loob.
Then I wash it again and dry.
Then a cleanser to remove old wax etc
Then I use autoglym ultra deep shine polish which is specialy made for dark cars  :happy2:

Day2.
Wash again and dry.
Then apply HD wax  :happy2:

That kind of covers the basics. Trouble is a black car shows up every single blemish and it can be a pain to keep on top of it. I still have alot to learn . but it's great trying

If you look outside your house, there's a rather nice Red ed30 for you to keep up the good work on

If you ever need a hand mate....

Nice work, car looks immaculate. So to spray the badges u used grey plastic primer (any reason for grey) and VW black Tin spray? How hard/easy a job is it?

maxload:
If your gonna finish with black then use the grey plastic primer as far as I know they don't make a black primer only white , red and silver. Make sure you give the badge a good sanding to help the primer stick better. Give it a light coating of primer , wait 30mins lightly sand it again and give it another spray. Wait for it to dry then apply your top coat. Easy. As for the carbon I ordered an A4 size self addhesive piece off ebay then cut it to size.

Hope this helps - anymore questions just ask  :happy2:
