i think thats the move

get some Leon Cupra front brakes - would i notice a big difference if i got the rears as well? how much do you think just the front brakes and fitting would come to?

Candy white GTI, MRC tuning Remap - the rest will remain standard...

You can get the full front brake kit from matted30 for around £600, fitting should be no more than £100.
The leon rears are the same as the gti so no point in getting those.
Leon fronts are more than enough, my ed30 is over 300bhp and they stop the car just fine
I will wait until the stock pads run out, then i will go for the ferodo pads

will be a while before i can afford them but since the remap am definitely finding the stock brakes arnt good enough

£700ish including fitting isnt too bad to be honest - if and when i do start modding the car, next on the list would be an LSD + WALK kit.

am loving the car after the remap - is running so much quicker than before - really does make a massive massive difference

I have the leon cupra fronts on mine. Plenty of stopping power, you could even put ferodo ds2500 pads front and rear with that setup and you would still have around £250 change from £1k :happy2:
The brakes fill the alloys nicely too

Notice a difference with ferredo pads? wanted the ecs stage 5 kit but im not going to track enough to justify price.
Might just get new discs with ferredo pads...

It's a good thing that you have black rims as the Ferroda pads are more dusty.
Without traction power is nothing!

ive got the ferodo pads with my r32 front brakes.
in my book stock pads are very dusty, the ferodos aren't so.

Now i bought the car, 0 miles then put the r32 brakes and ferodo pads on within 20 or so miles. I havent run r32 brakes with stock pads, so i couldnt properly comment on dust with this.

But, i would say, i dont have a dust problem with my set up!

and they stop incredibly!!

put it this way....ive been driving a C63 all afternoon with mahoosive brakes (stock pads i would guess) and the brakes on that felt nowhere near as sharp, and im not romancing!!

Where do you recommend to get these "magical" Ferodo brake pads from?
