Huddersfield Volkswagen

Well i had my car in for a cambelt and water pump change along with a major service for which i was charged £647
The next day i noticed my reverse light wasn't working so did the checks and found the switch to be faulty (why didn't vw see this on the service????)

The next chance i got (a week later) i called in to order a switch (not in stock) and speaking to an advisor he asked if i wanted them to fit it which would take a couple of minutes. I asked if i'd be charged as it should have been done and he said it would be another £28.50  :surprised:  so i said i'd fit it myself

I ordered the switch and was told it would be in the next day. I called in the next day and have been told the switch isn't there?

3 trips and still no switch so still no reverse light and they say they can't do anything until next week to see where it is

Can't belive they didn't spot the fault on the service
Can't understand why they want to charge me again to fit it
Can't understand why the part wasn't there when it was ordered and they didn't bother ringing to say it hadn't arrived

Is there a chance the fault developed after the service?
