I hope you get to the bottom of it, a problem like that is a terrible feeling!

I would advise going to an engine tuner like I did there, they were a lot more help than the smaller garages have been  :happy2:

Just read your whole thread, who would have thought that a professional garage could cock up a cam belt change, if it was done under your ownership I'd be having serious words.

Great News  :congrats:

....and Well done to the guys at Falkland Performance, for being so thorough and for finding a problem others couldn't.

It's not a nice feeling when you pay through the nose to fix a problem, only to find out its not been fixed.  :sad1:

However when it finally gets sorted the feeling is amazing.

Enjoy the Revo power  :happy2:

The car looks Awesome mate  :notworthy:

(I love the contrast of the Gti bumpers and skirts)

Thanks mate!

I really cant fault falkland at all, excellent service and they spent a lot of solid hours on my car getting to the problem.

Now I cant stop thinking about what to do next

Update time...

On Sunday I had the car at crail for the first time since its revo treatment. My times were 'ok' but I was expecting a bit better to be honest. No matter what way I attempted to launch the car, I was struggling to stop wheelspin. I know crail isnt the best surface but tips would be excellent

My dad has owned drag cars for years and he told me with a terminal speed of 100mph a high 13 is possible. I got no pictures but I got videos, I am still happy with how the car goes when rolling  ( im not sure how to embed?)

I also bought 4350k bulbs and LED side lights to move out of the stone age from yellow ones!

Small update...

Had the car at extreme motorsport for a scottish group rolling road day, im very happy with how the car performed

Compared to last time before my timing issue was sorted my graph looked along these lines....

And today when sorted....

Very happy with the power increase, just happy to see it on paper now

Think the next mod might have to be brakes!

As comparison my stage 1 ed30 did 14.14 @ 102mph with a boot full of gear. I think you will struggle to get below 14 seconds unless you remove a lot of interior and spare wheel and get a perfect run.

Yeah I think going below 14 would be too much to ask at the minute.

I think with the correct launch and less wheelspin I could hope for 14.3 maybe  :happy2:

Not had too much of a modification update...

I had the car at a local garage to have a service and a general check over. The oil was changed to castrol gtx, all filters were changed to HEMP filters ( told the fuel one hadnt been changed for a very long time although I do have a reciept for it being done! ) the plugs were changed and the pads were done. I then paid a visit to crail, very happy with the car. Although the surface still isnt great and im still struggling with wheelspin my times have dropped again

My problem is now whether to go for a visual mod over the winter with edition 30 parts, or stage 2plus with bigger brakes?  :stupid:

Cheers, Stu.

Stu, if I was you i'd look into the performance parts rather than the visual ones. Winter can be known for its prangs with the obvious weather, and any new visual parts you bought could be damaged, out of the two i'd get the Stage 2+ and then wait until Spring for the visual stuff.

This is only an opinion  :happy2:
