My GTI *stateside*
« on: November 13, 2008, 01:27:26 am »
When I first bought it [after adding the Open fog grilles]

And what it sorta looks like now.  I've added the R-Line fog grilles since these were snapped.

The FTPs have PIAA Xtreme White H7s in them & the fogs have PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow 9006s in them.

2006 MKV GTI: UG, DSG, PKG1.
Neuspeed P-Flow, PIAA PIY fogs/XW ftps, In.Pro smoked mirror lenses, smoked bumper lenses, Golf GT centers/R-Line fog grille conversion, removed GTI emblems, EU GTI lip, NSP boost gauge kit, CC switch, EU .:R32 tails.

2001 Ford ZX2: SF, 5MT; 2.0L 16V Zetec w/VCT.

  your getting obsessed with us candy white boys, look just because you have got the most common colour on the UK roads and the slowest colour on this forum does'nt mean you have to take it out on us with the rarest colour on the roads and the fastest colour in here.

Thanks for the :happy2: .  As far as the ride height goes, the suspension is all stock yet.  We didn't get the 'Euro' springs until the 2008MY.

I have surprised a few cars from the lights, but most only saw the car from behind & they thought it was a debadged Rabbit 2.5 instead of a GTI.  The best times I've gotten with it down the 1/4 mile [400m to you guys?]... Stock: 2.19 60', 14.34 @ 96.50mph.  After adding only the intake: 2.43 60' [ :scared: ], 14.23 @ 98.93mph.  I guess I'll have to buy stickier tires; I was hoping to get into the 13's without a reflash.  It also helps that the track I run at is only 320' above sea level!  Since it's a 2006MY, I don't have the Launch Control program either [DSG], so those times are coming off a from-idle launch.

As for more mods, I have a set of Euro .:R32 tails coming this week & an Auto w/chrome Euro switch as well.  Now I have to find someone local with vagcom.
