Intermittent misfiring under load - new plugs??
« on: February 17, 2012, 12:20:26 pm »
I've experienced this a few times on my '08 GTI - pulling from third gear up, some journeys there is a misfiring which can be heard through the exhaust and felt through the motion of the car...anyone else had this?

Idles perfect and no experience of this during 'normal' driving. Car has been checked for coil pack recall and isn't affected, has done 35k miles.. I'm hoping the service next week will cure this and will mention it to make sure they change the plugs...

plugs are usually changed at 40k miles, so could be this.

check these out. if you're planning to remap they might be better than OEM:
