Well I'm not sure but the price is just ridiculous - http://www.ppcgb.com/Gruppe-M-Carbon-Fibre-Performance-Ram-Air-Induction-Kit---VW-Golf-MK5-GTI-Turbo/prod14382/
Is there a guide to what you need to do to get the more established kits i.e. Forge/ITG to fit using the standard engine cover?
Anybody used or heard of the EVOMS kit - http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/vw/acatalog/copy_of_copy_of_copy_of_Golf_MK5_Edition_30.html - 2nd one down on page.
Cheers.

The GruppeM will use the standard cover. Anything else will require you to chop the standard cover, use an EVOMS cover, or just run without the cover.

Yeah fair point. Unless you really want to be different and go with a GruppeM kit you could, instead, get a EVOMS engine cover and kit with over 200 quid change.
Do you know of anyone who has ran the GruppeM on their GTI?
Personally I'd like to retain some sort of engine cover be it a 'modified' OEM or a purpose built alternative like the EVOMS. I think the EVOMS engine cover maybe prove a better choice as when you decide to go back to standard you can fit your original one again.
What sort of performance figures could you expect with a, for example, REVO stage 1 and induction kit?

TT-S engine cover with ITG/Twintake/EVOMS/whatever takes your fancy
h4rdy:
I have had both ITG(BDM copy) and the TwinTake now back to standard.
Ill be honest, I couldn't stand the noise of either, I am old(er)!
If the noise isn't an issue go for the ITG without a shadow of doubt my car had issues with the Forge and just would not adapt.
The ITG was so brutal though with Stage 2+ I had to take it off, that and the noise.
I have a Pipercross panel now and yes power drops but its much nicer to drive.
Also I found the engine can get quite dirty with no cover.
The Gruppe B looks nice though and don't forget about the BSH truseal(?)
I am considering getting hold of an engine cover and seeing if I can make it flow a bit better at work, I have access to a machine shop, without all the whooshing but with the chattering, I love that.
