I agree with Andrew (Parker) and Martin (MC71): Ferrari weren't "cheating" - They were clever and worked within the rules and did so just as any other team might do.

Anyway, a good circuit and great result. Seb Vettel was sporting to applaud Lewis Hamilton from the cockpit just after crossing the finishing line.

I hope it rains (40% chance according to Brundle yesterday) in Brazil and that will really put the cat almost the pigeons!

Always hard for the championship leader to decide on what to do regarding tactics with only one race left and everything riding on it, does he defend his points lead (look at how Hamilton almost FUBAR'd that a few years ago) or go for win and wheel to wheel racing with the chance of getting involved in an accident and losing it all.

I think that whether Vettel or Alonso win the championship, it will be deserved.  Wet or dry, it's racing and anything can happen

Such a shame, i remember seeing a reconstruction of the accident he had. Good to see him back behind the wheel and driving again though, very talented driver.

So who do we reckon for the title on Sunday??

I just have the sneaky feeling that Alonso might win the title, due to a RedBull breakdown or some other odd anomaly. Hopefully not Massa by 'launching SV'.

I think due to slightly odd last race circs when Vettel won the 2010 title over FA - I wonder whether something strange will happen the other way round on Sunday.

Not especially a fan of either but whoever wins will have deserved it.

As much as I want Alonso to win I think Vettel has it. Whatever happens on Sunday though Alonso is my driver of the year. He's performed consistently and pushed a title challenge to the last race in a car that has always been third or fourth best on the grid.

....Ditto! Ferrari has always been my favourite team since F1 started many years ago. But anything can happen in a race.

Definitely Alonso for driver of the year. He really has outperformed his own cars abilities.

Interesting to read (and see) both Hamilton and Whitwarsh saying this could not be the end of Hamilton with Macca. Whitwarsh even said something along the lines of this being "just a year year out".

....Surely that can't be correct 

It will take at least a full season (or more) for Lewis to succeed in getting podium winning results with the Mercedes team. Isn't that the main reason why he has made the move? - To enjoy rising to a bigger challenge and testing himself without daddy Whitewash and Dennis The Menace?
