Chamois v's towel drying?...

(1/8) > >>

J5BWS:
Hi

I have used Autoglym's Aqua Dry synthetic chamois ever since I can remember however getting back into my cars I notice that towel drying is popular now.  Please can anyone advise why this has happened, if the chamois way has any negatives etc?

Many thanks!  :happy2:

i still use a leather chamois too mate, but i know it's frowned upon by the shiny brigade  :ashamed:

but i've tried all the others with no real success so always gone back to the leather, oldskool

but it will be interesting to see the replies

I had a 3M synthetic chamois for many years and swore by it! Now use an MF drying towel and find it more than up to the job and safer for my 'shiny' paint!  :happy2:

The only downside is the MF towels aren't so good for the windows as they tend to leave fibers all over the window!  :angry015:

I just use a normal chamois but find that it leaves loads of orange fibres all over the car so I will be interested to see where this thread goes too. :drinking:
