Chamois v's towel drying?...

i use this and would highly recommend it to anyone think its fantastic and doesn’t leave any bits on your paint :) works best when it is damp.

The miracle dryers are great towels, but one thing we've found with them is that they tend to lose their absorbency and start to streak a bit after being washed a couple of times.
Basically the reason that chamois are now frowned upon is that they tend to hold any small dirt or dust particles left behind on the surface, which are then dragged across the paint and therefore inflict swirl marks and scratches.
The idea behind a microfibre drying towel (and why they are more highly recommended) is that the thick fibres take any dirt and dust particles deep into the towel, holding them away from the paint surface preventing the scratches and swirls that are so easily generated by the chamois.
The Sonus Der Wonder towels are a great option. Personally, when Detailing we go round with an Autoperfection Super Plush Drying Towel, which are double thickness and super absorbent, then we go round again with the Sonus towel just to remove any excess water that is left behind.
