K&N Intake

Goo retort, very honest! Ref my intercoolers, they're just stock and i was under the assumption they wouldn't need to be changed unless i was upgrading from Stage 1 remap to Stage 2 (+)!?

Having had one and sold it to Webby I can vouch for the quality and performance. I made 252 bhp on Sharks rollers with a mis firing plug so it didnt make full boost.  The only reason for selling was the noise so I refitted the OE engine cover and am now after either a VWR or APR intake.  But if you like the noise they are excellent filters for the money.  Each company will market their air filter as the best, but they are all just filters on the end of a tube!  The K&N was also maf scaled friendly so a bargain for the price.

Am i missing something here, aren't filters (panel) something very different from an intake? I currently have stock intake, but Pipercross panel filter...

Yes the panel filters just fit into the OE air box where as the intakes do away with the factory air box. I have a K&N panel filter fitted and it works fine for a road car and fast road driving.

gigolo456:
Decisions decisions, do i stick with panel filter or upgrade the intake!!!???
