Couple of updates. Fitted my R32 rear lights a couple of weeks back. Excuse the filthy car.  :ashamed:

Before:

During (inside light R32):

After:

And I'm off to the Stone Roses this weekend, so while I am, the car is being dropped off with my mate who works in Trix (Dunfermline) and these are being fitted:

I'm also getting all 4 calipers freshly powder coated and a new Rev G diverter valve fitted.

I'm away to Dallas for 3 weeks in August so that will be the main spending until then!

So while I was enjoying the Stone Roses this weekend, my GTI was in with my mate at Trix in Dunfermline to get the calipers painted, rev G diverter valve fitted and a set of eibach sportlines. It was also given a full detail courtesy of my mate who works there! Only got iPhone photos for now so apologies.

Before...the paint literally flaked off every time the car was washed....

After a bit of a tidy up....

Post Sportline fitting....

Anyone got the time?

Freshly polished tips...

A massive shout out to Andy and Doug at Trix in Dunfermline. Big, big VW fanatics and always do a great job!

So, not really done much to the car since getting the sportlines fitted in August. Today however I fitted a new iPhone dock connector as I wanted something that was fairly discreet, so avoiding dashmounted solutions etc. A nice cheap and cheerful 'mod' really. Bought a compact USB charger, dock from eBay and a short 12cm dock cable.

The end result. Will see how I get on with it at the moment but for less than £10 all in, you can't really complain!! I just hope Pioneer get their finger out and release the firmware that lets you control the music from the head unit as this disappeared following the iOS6 update.

Fitted my ED30 gear know a couple of weeks ago. Not the best pic, but an improvement over the standard GTI stick...

Fitted my build plate the other day...

This is going on over the weekend, weather permitting. New high level brake light as mine has stopped playing the game.

And the Carbonio will be on by the end of Jan, just in time for my insurance renewal.

Fitted the 10 polo aerial today. Always hated the standard golf one and had replaced it with a smaller bee sting type, but wanted a more OEM look. It unfortunately hasn't improved the radio reception (not an issue really), but that may be resolved through the Kenwood 521DAB that I'm thinking about getting!!
