For those who don't want a stage 2 remap or pay for an aftermarket exhaust, I wonder if this is a cheaper alternative ?

I guess it boils down to what you want from your car. For a bit more noise, a resonator delete and/or a backbox delete are relatively cheap and cheerful options, and can sound a bit better than standard.

However if you're plannng on tuning at a level more than just a remap, you may as well get a full TBE system, as the standard pipework will eventually become a restriction.

plus your still running the stock exhaust meaning you wont make as much power than a full tb due to the width of the pipe.. i think stock is 2.25 and most aftermarket pipes are 3" meaning better flow

Has anyone deleted the resonator on their edition 30?
Thanks

I always thought it wasn't a good idea to take the resonator out as it makes the inside drowny so i booked my car  in for a back box delete next week

It will drone like hell

Down pipe & sports cat on OEM system will give more power and sound better.

Pre-cat delete gives a nice burble too.

For outright noise, a cat back exhaust is required

I'm pretty sure it drones with a resonator delete not a back box delete I'm also getting a pre cat delete before a remap
