Yah I get a courtesy car for free too they said its gonna be a polo or an up so atleast it's still a vw   :smiley:

Rang my local and they said its 10 years and I've missed out by a month  :sad1:

Has anyone been told its 12 years warranty?

Picked up my golf yesterday - front two wings sills and rear boot lid all done for free! Very happy with the result  :happy2:

Contacted my VW dealer yesterday & they said as my car has been painted the front wings would not be covered! But they did amit that the rusting is due to the inner arch liner touching on the arch lip.
Kind of admitting there is an issue!

I had my cars wings and bootlid sorted at the beginning of April. Didnt pay a penny. Got a call last week for my 50% contribution on the bootlid. Was hoping they had forgotton

Ignore it, where's the proof? (did you sign in agreeance to pay?)  They should be covering it all in reality... what's the point of a corrosion warranty otherwise.

Ignore it, where's the proof? (did you sign in agreeance to pay?)  They should be covering it all in reality... what's the point of a corrosion warranty otherwise.

I paid it. They did a good job and I only agreed a repair to my boot handle rust. In reality i got a complete new tail gate all new boot hatch mech and they honoured the original quote so i cant complain!

I had the same work done in April, two new wings and a new bootlid. I was lucky enough that the garage I went to covered the other 50% as vw UK were also only willing to cover 50%.
So I got all in all, two new wings, new bootlid and a new bootlid badge as the last one was corroding.
It really depends on the garage and how helpful they wish to be.

Hey guys
My car is booked in for this trip for vw in Stirling to take a look.
They say they need it for half a day to check it out any advise before hand as av just got a funny feeling there going to hit me with some crap.
As even why I phoned up and booked it in the guy I spoke to was a bit rude and just well a prat to put it politely.
He asked for my Reg plate and I told him it but I said I am in the process of putting my private plate on the car.
He said no don't do that I said why will it effect the warranty (knowing it shouldn't )
An the guy was like well yea it mite.
I said how can this be possible
As I still know the Reg
Any way if the v5 capital Mrs back the plates going on
