Best polish for a black car that will fill in small scratches
brough74:
Since polishing my car the other weekend ive noticed a lot of small stone chips and scratches have appeared.
So whats the best polish to mask these ? As i dont want to go around touching everything up or go to the expense of a respray.
Or have you any other ideas ?
monte:
Pay £300+ for a Correction detail on your car and you be Stunned with the results. (as long as the scratches aren't deep)

As monte said a correction detail will make a HUGE difference. £300 is a lot of money though and theres smaller companies out there who are pretty good for a lot less money.
Failing that, try AutoGlym Super Resin Polish it has the red label and can be easily picked up from Halfrauds. It contains fillers which fill in the defects on the laquer to help reduce swirls and light scratches.

I use poorboys black hole on my car with good results. Follow this with poorboys natty blue paste wax for a lovely gloss wet look:-)

I just did my Black Pirelli this weekend. Used Poorboys Black Hole followed by Dodo Juice Blue Velvet wax. I bought a starter kit from ebay for under £20 delivered!

It makes a massive difference. There is still evidence of some scratches but they are massively less noticable and many seem to have dissapeared.
I don't think you will get a polish/wax combination that will make the scratches go away but this seems to come close.
I think I will be looking for a full detail towards the summer but this has made a big difference for now.
I would have put some pictures up but I have an 80 mile per day commute and the crappy weather has hidden my hard work already!
