Happy anniversary. Real shame about that beautiful looking mk4 you had. You ED30 looks great though, and has been treated to a lot of presents. :happy2:

Cheers! :drinking: Was a great car - sad to say I was at the point where I wanted to retire it from everyday and buy something else for a daily, but then it was hit again. I think the car was cursed in a way, as it was hit three separate times in the rear in the same spot.
The ED30 is great fun - do love the mk5 chassis, even if the mk5 feels a much bigger car.
The mods so far have enhanced the chassis - can't wait for some power mods!
Hope to have upgraded brakes fitted by the end of November, so will post updates once they're on!

I love Ed30's in grey - awesome work with the fog lights

Cheers for the comments Matey & Jimmy.
Bit of a crappy update - car stalled 4 times in a row when queuing in traffic to get out of my works car park this week - no EML or transmission light, but just a sudden cut out & the red battery light. I was worried it was the battery dying, but then it restarted each time ok & then died a bit after. Did it when in both 'D' or 'N'.
So, the traffic was so bad on my works estate - I didn't fancy sitting in traffic for the car to finally croak & die (& make me cause more mayhem), so when it restarted I decided to move it back to my favourite space in the carpark.
Left the car overnight at work - checked the Fiscon reading on the next morning ,and it showed the battery was really healthy. Car started no issues. So, I then thought it isn't a battery /charging issue.
Called the RAC - they turned up, plugged in a computer and showed a couple of fuelling codes - P0441, and P310B.
They didn't want to clear the codes and leave the car, so wanted to accompany me to a garage (fair enough on their part). Only one near my work is a VW garage - APS (who I usually use are miles away). Drove 10 miles and weirdly the car was perfect...
I recognised the P0441 code as something to not worry about as this is to do with the charcoal canister / emissions guff.
I'm glad VW, myself, (& APS) came to the conclusion I had on the P310B code - LPFP - sensor or pump.
So, as part of VW's inspection, I was sent a nice video of them checking tyre depths, showing me an inside of a brake disc, and then telling me I needed £40 worth of wipers as they were 'smearing'.
So, over nearly £800 of 'urgent work' is needed. Front discs & pads, brake fluid, cambelt, front tyres (cost TBC).
I understand the car is off the dealer network, but just shows they read from a computer...
So by the time I said, "ok, fit the the LPFP & I don't want any other work - don't worry about cleaning the car", they had already washed the car apparantly - I cleaned it last Friday. My god, I hate to think about the additional scratches added. Foooooking hell
I'm worried about tomorrows collection...
