JKM's dyno is repeatable.
The most important element of any calibration/measurement is a repeatable and reproducible measurement so monitor your vehicles on one dyno only, then you'll be able to track changes with success.
If you keep changing the measurement device looking for the most favorable figures you won't know where you are.

....Which is exactly why I only put my car on one dyno: JKM's DD  :happy2:

X2. My car's only ever been on one dyno too, best way to keep track of the car's progress. Although it would be interesting to see what it makes on another dyno... (This could well be my next power mod lol)

Repeatable...? Ok so Revo Stage 2+ is worth 9bhp over stage 2 then...

My standard car, was given Revo Stage 1 treatment by APD Performance (now VAS Works) settings B7T5F9. Made 288bhp on JKMs rollers.

Added a Pipewerx 3” DP and 200Cel Sports cat and stage 2 software, settings B7T5F9 and made 272bhp on JKMs Rollers.

JKM then added an APR Fuel Pump, EVOMS induction kit and BCS 3” Cat back sports exhaust and setting B8T5F7 made 309bhp on JKM rollers. . Later on changed to B8T5F8 as I was getting quite a lot of soot deposits on the bootlid.

An S3 intercooler was fitted, and JKM put Stage2+ file on with settings B8T5F8.

Paul at VAS Works logged the car Thursday 28th Feb 2013 and tweak settings to B8T6F8. Was meeting all requested values. March 2nd 2103 car makes 318bhp on JKM rollers.

Car is run exclusively on V-Power. Serviced every 6-8k miles. Has a Rev G diverter valve which is in good condition still and the latest revision coilpacks and PCV valve. It was service at the beginning of February. Also has a Sachs uprated (400lbft) clutch and new DMF.

Revo have had this information and have not got back to me...

 That's a hell of a lot of work for an extra 30 bhp. That can't be right can it?

R-tech-Nick:
Why u looking at peak numbers?   I would be happy spending £500 to gain 8bhp "peak". But gaining 30-45lbft across the midrange to give greater average power / area under the curve.    These sort of power gains can only be see if your running your car on the same dyno and over laying graphs each time you make changes to your car.

A rr day will only give u one 2 reading peak torque and peak hp at there relative rpm points.   Red robin is happy with his car as he had 100s (lol) of dyno plots from the same dyno showing where each mod has made / lost power.

Dynos are tools for tuning, safe logging and to visualise whats going on with the mapping.  They where never build for rr days.
