Unfortunately lost drive  :sad1:

Bit of a slide  :driver:

change of pants for the TVR driver there

Front does have a vained splitter and rear diffuser is on the cards  :happy2:

Something like this one Steve?

And i take back what i said about the wing on the golf  :scared:

I bet you guys were gutted about the car losing drive.  Was this in the free practice or during the timed sessions?

Am i right in saying this year slicks are allowed?

Unfortunately lost drive  :sad1:

Bit of a slide  :driver:

It snapped a drive shaft going out to the qualifying session, we got it swapped in time for the final but it had some other damage that prevented it from setting a good time.

We are off to Zandvoort in 10 days so the car is currently being sorted at KPM and will be ready for it's next adventure  :driver: :driver:

Is driveshaft failure a known issue in the Mk5/6 race cars or was it just a one off?  Any uprated alternatives or is it a case of buy loads of stock ones and replace them as required?

Cadwell is renowned to be harsh on transmissions due to frequently skipping around and getting air time with all the mad elavation changes

The driveshafts do fail (see APR's FB page) so we will be carrying spares. In our case it was the outer CV it killed but this was one of the few old parts on the car.

^^^^ I think you know the answer to that question Jake

Here's the remains of the old engine

And I am sure the oil pump is meant to stay inside the engine not end up 150 foot away from the car after being ejected through the sump
