:happy2: cheers lads.
statller have quoted £930.00 new borg warner k03 fitted.

this route might be even cheaper.

Did Statlers also offer a 2nd hand turbo for quite a bit less??

Statller did offer a recon turbo for about half the price... was pretty surprised tbh but want a new one.

labour time is around the 4 hours... £150.

how have i missed the turbo dynamics site... some very reasonable priced turbos on there.

calling Statller today to book in.

For half the cost, the recon turb would be where my cash would go, as long as it had a decent warranty included. :happy2:

Its just for piece of mind, had a bad experience with a recon turbo... :ashamed:

called Statller and spoke to Luke, he went to speak to steve and normally when on the phone to a company you are put on hold and made to listen to sh*tty music, not at Statller... unsure what car it was but there was a rolling road session going.... this was awesome to listen to !  :congrats:

as far as i know, their second-hand turbos, etc are just that, second-hand, not reconditioned (or whatever the word is), although i could be wrong!? That rolling road session is probably John's (Hurdy) Golf R, now with water-meths kit, and goodness knows what else!!??

It sounded lovely but as it hit high revs the phone wouldn't pick up the sound.

No prices yet, my ko3 is due to be posted of the the builder today for initial developments.  The KKK hybrids he has built for the 1.8t market have out performed all the branded hybrid turbo names in every area.   Our current build is a 350bhp ko3s hybrid on a 1.8t skoda VRS.

No Statller have been the most reasonable. im booked in next friday for the turbo to be fitted. From there i will book a power run at R-tech to see if i can top the 232bhp and 286lbft that it produced on the day of the map (on what was suspected as a cracked turbo).

VW quoted my friend £850 all in at TRADE price for the turbo, fitting was extra (£150-200 i would imagine) then i had to buy oil etc. Statller have worked out way better. i am talking my own oil to statller.
