Hi, I just want to check I've not misunderstood another thread.   Will I be able to bring the exhaust tail pipe/tips  (not sure what they are called). Back from black to shine with a metal polish like autosol. I've just got the factory standard exhaust on my gti.

It depends how soiled they are but its a good start :happy2: Just make sure you give them a good clean with some degreaser first of all.

If the above doesnt work you'll need to get some 00 grade wirewool which should then do the trick :happy2:

Chances are you'll need wire wool and the tail pipes will need a really good clean.  I've heard Mothers Powerballs are fantastic for polishing.  The can be attached to a drill and make quick work of tarnished metal with a good polish

I cleaned mine up with Wirewool, G101 Degreaser, then Polished and Protected with Megs Metal Polish.

Look so much better!

Elbow grease, Autosol and Wirewool work a treat on tail pipes.
