Diverter Valve Rev G or D?

(1/7) > >>

dan_gti:
I apologise as i know this has probably been solved many times before.
I have a stock mk5 gti which I am planning on having remapped. In preparation I have ordered a Pipercross panel filter and plan on removing the pre-cat from the DP.

Finally I wanted to make sure I had the correct diverter valve in place. The photo below is of my diverter valve which I believe is a rev G?
Is this the most recent revision or should I change to the rev D valve with the piston?

Cheers

Tortaruga:
That is a revision G. The part number is the second line of text and the revision letter is always at the end.

Don't bother with the rev D.

Heard and read lots of reviews that G is the one to go for, including Nick at R-Tech. Out of interest how did you find locating it? Front wheel off job?

Have D ATM but want to try G, when I can be bothered to lift the car.

If your G has been in a while it might be worth taking off to inspect or replace...

Just jacked the drivers side of the car up, put a stand under wishbone, got under car from front and it's located just behind the driveshaft. Looks tricky to remove purely due to inaccessibility.
