Fitting Milltek
« on: August 01, 2009, 02:15:12 pm »

Bought a MIlltek downpipe and sports cat from another forum member to fit to my existing milltek cat back. However the connecting pipe that came with the DP won't fit into the sleeve of the non-res section I have as the connecting pipe diameter is too big.

The p/n's are all correct MSVW259 and MSAU343 so I can't understand why it won't fit maybe there's some sort of adaptor missing?

Anyone got any ideas?

PS I know its a Leon but these p/n's are the exact same ones as for the Golf GTI.

....

A Warm Welcome to the forum, Rob :drinking:

I would start by phoning or emailing Milltek and asking their advice.

Do you have a mixture of Edition 30 and GTI parts?

Thanks for the replies. Its sorted now, for reference the two pieces wouldn't fit together as the non-res section had been previously clamped ever so slightly reducing the diameter preventing the connecting piece (which is new) fitting in. My localI longlife dealer enlarged the non-res pipe with a tool known in the trade as a carrot  and it all fits together now.
