Bought my ED30 from these guys. Dealt with someone called Phill who was absolutely fantastic.

Went back recently to buy some oil. The parts guy was away so they couldn't get access to the parts. Instead, they checked the dipstick level and topped it up with longlife oil for free!

No, KM57

TBH they didn't have any GTIs I liked - well, in black. They had a red GTI maxxed out (xenons, dvd satnav, mfsw, parking sensors) that they even took £2k off for me. Would have taken it if it was in black. They let me have a go at their database and I found an ED30 that was low mileage and right price.

Why? Was tha AY07 yours or something?

Sorry - forgot about this thread!  Yes, it was mine and the paintwork was damaged while on the forecourt.

:o

Don't recall any black ED30s at the time.

Parking in that place can be more than just a little tight, as Greenouse will tell you, so not surprised it would have been damaged. They really need to expand the parking and make it easier.

Wasn't the parking although it is tight.  Some idiot threw raw eggs at the car when it was on for sale again a week after I part-ex'd it.  It was at the front near the pavement and got egg on the bonnet, roof and some other places.  Apparently, it stripped the paintwork to the metal.  They had to have the roof resprayed and tried to pass it on to an unsuspecting buyer.  The buyer turned out to be an anal enthusiast who spotted it and returned the car after a week.  I last saw it on Stratford Road - my brother-in-law said the guy was a known drug dealer around the area - poetic justice

BTW, I just realised that the I employed the term 'anal enthusiast' in the last post.  This referred to the buyer's love of the GTI marque and was not a reference to his sexuality  :signIWS: :signLOL:

Cool, only down the road really. That road being the M42/M40. But still fairly local.

Hi guys,

Is the Solihull dealership mod-friendly?  I'm having a spot of bother with my car and need it checked under warranty.

My local dealership in Luton won't go any where near my car - which really disappointing...
