Unfortunetly not, my dealer doesn't do after market mods-not even cruise. I think the nearest could be JKM performance in Portsmouth or tuningwerks in Croydon!..are they the people who could do this?

no mate, you'd need to go to a dealer, or some shady character that can do mileage correction.

im sure the dealers wouldnt be impressed if the clocks had been changed without going to them. it leaves the door open for dodgy mileage input, thats why i went to the dealer

Ah I see (of course!), so what is it I would need the dealer to actually do then?

Dealers cannot correct mileage.

Anyone (who knows what they are doing) with VCDS (VAG-COM) can install it providing you have the two SKC's (Secret Key Codes).  If you don't then you need someone with the correct tools to extract the codes or a dealer who will use VAS to go online and read them.

I've done a few myself, both using VCDS and VAS the dealer tool.

Good DiY but much more in depth than you need to worry about.

VAG-CAN Commander is the tool used to extract the SKC's if you don't have them.  It can also modify the mileage.

any should be capable of doing it mate, its not a massively hard procedure at all.

the hard part (for us) is getting SKCs out of new clocks

Ok, cheers guys, may ring round a few dealers when I have time and see what they will say. I got a no last time from my dealer as they thought it could void some of my warranty!

The procedure for them is a simple dash insert replacement.  All carreid out with Guided Functions on VAS.

no, and its not worth fitting either at all.

One, its a nightmare to fit.

Two, it will only serve to conflict with data on the system already
