Would a DSG wheel fit & work?

I know the paddles would obviously be redundant, but would it physically fit and work like a normal MFSW?

If you have cruise control and a manual car I would personally try to wire up the paddles to act as cruise control settings, rather than the stalk.
Might be something cool to try.
