The compass view is provided by the MFD2.

You can get away with plugging the antenna onto the innermost of the connectors on the RNS510.

Has Stu said the UK/European cars dont have an external compass the info comes from the MFD2,  the Yank MFD2 doesn't have an internal compass so has one in the boot,

My car had 2 connectors. 1 of them fitted straight on, the other i took apart and connected it straight up.

Unit install was a piece of piss, took 30 minutes from start to finish taking my time. Im happy to report that everything functions as it should, MFSW 100%, Sat Nav, All functionality on the RNS510. Very happy!!!
