How To: EGR Valve / EGR Cooler Delete Mk5 TDI (BKD / BMN)

Awesome write up! I've realised I need/want a few extra bit's before I get mine fitted by a friend. :happy2:

On the BMN engine isn't the EGR controlled by the ECU? I don't seem to have a vacuum pipe just a plug plugged into the side of the EGR valve. I'm a bit worried about what to do if I delete mine. I read it can send the car into limp home mode.

It is controlled by ECU on the BMN engine, I'm not 100% sure of the answer regarding limp mode.
Dark side Developments may be able to answer.
Alternatively, you could try unplugging the connector and see what happens, if you have the means to clear the fault code afterwards?

Yes it is. You will have to have it mapped out.
As @jason_rmh has just said you will get a fault code. I used to get one as it know it has been unplugged but was removed in the mapping I have.
