Two questions about Revo

(1/2) > >>

dandav1985:
Hello,

I have a Mk5 golf GT Sport 140 Diesel mapped to 185 by PD Tuning (sedox) would it be better or would I get more power from a revo map compared to the PDT one.....?
I'm wanting to get more power out of the car.

Also missis drives a A3 8P 2.0 TDI 170 S-tronic am I right for thinking the is the Audi DSG version? also has it got launch control?
The local REVO agent say's that they can not remap her car because Of the DPF is this correct? Her car compared to mine seems not as quick as my golf as there is only 15Bhp diffrence and sometimes only really gans anywhere between 2000 and 3000 RPM before and after lifeless.

Cheers Once again.

Dan

Andy:
Dave map at sedox would be a custom map so it will be a lot smoother than the revo one--Its more about driveabilty than chasing numbers on rolllers--Also am sure they will be able to map your misses car

AndrewJB:
if the Audi has the PD170 engine then yes REVO wont touch it

GrayMK5GTI:
You won't get any more power out of the car by switching maps, maybe 1 or 2 BHP which I doubt you would notice. IMHO it's not really worth spending £500 on another remap for potentially no gains.  :sad1:

As for the PD170 Audi, as Andrew said above Revo won't touch it as the DPF's & injectors are troublesome on that engine. Plenty of other tuners out there that will do it though. Where are you based?

xjay1337:
The injectors are troublesome and nothing to do with mapping.
A decent mapper will do them no problems.

Remove the DPF while you're at it.. changes the car completely.
