Cheers for the replies lad, much appreciated. I'm thinking of getting the Darkside s3 intercooler kit fitted then save a little for the bigger turbo kit, well that's the plan for the golf.

As for the missis motor i think i'll have a word with Dave a PDT see what he says when I'm home, Ive already phoned him and he has answered the questions on wor lasses car.

get the turbo on first and you will only notice you will need the cooler in sunny weather

Who engine is the issue, Siemens PPD injectors, Siemens PPD ECU and a DPF that wasn't designed to be on the car in the first place.

The PD engines are not designed to be run with a DPF hence why they moved to CR. That being said they are OK if you don't drive them round town constantly and don't granny them..
