Another discussion thread http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=7583.0;topicseen

I would research existing kits VERY carefully (esp on golfmkv.com) , as some people have reported issues with these kits.
Noise , fitment , longevity , filter type (oiled etc) , cost , do they use original cover etc as aspects to consider.
Are you keeping the car or moving on in a year etc

hth
 :happy2:

[Note : as one opinion Teutonic_Tamer does not endorse fitment of ANY aftermarket intakes.
Paper filter OE only but the decision is up to you]

Discuss MAF airflow and diameter issues for readings wrt misfires and odd reported running
2.62" or 66.55mm to be exact i think

^^^^
AWE's offering is a bit like GruppeM's. GruppeM's is mega expensive and beyond the cost acceptance of most people on this forum. As the AWE offering also includes a lot of carbonfibre I wonder how expensive it is too.

Please note that the pic shows a later TFSI engine application as on the Mk6. Will it fit the Mk5's 2.0T FSI?
