MOT + Downpipe (De-cat)

How much do you think the swap over would cost?

I would guess a mechanic would charge 1 hours labour in total for both swaps, so you're looking at £70~, add that to the MOT fee and you'll be looking at £130 per year for an MOT (providing it does not fail)!!

Takes an hour to swap, we did my precat delete (dropped whole exhaust) in about 45 minutes and I had a seized bolt (which snapped  :sad1:)

akbarirfan:
Do you think it's a driveway job or could it be done with some axles and a basic set of spanners?

Snapped a bolt? You just don't know your own strength do you?! :jumping:

Thanks

A friendly garage will pass it for you...just gotta find one!! You in Bassingstoke?

Mine went through on Friday, I may have had a de-cat...

It was seized, got 3 studs now holding my DP onto my turbo looool.
Unfortunately it's in the most ball-achey location so to re-stud it would require the turbo to be dropped. And can't be bothered the sake of one bolt (tis fine with 3 at the mo, new gasket and some paste) and unless I replace with a newer K03s or a k04 I'm just going to leave it.

But yes you can do it on a driveway if you had to. Pain in the arse because of working along the length of the car but it's honestly just a case of undoing some bolts
