I did mine recently mate, couldn't find a DIY, but it's all quite self explanatory once you get going.

Things to note would include, nearside wiring can be unplugged by removing the interior trim around the rear airbag unit, there's 3 plugs there, it's quite a tight fit but doable... lifting the new boot into position on your own is achievable but nicer if there's two of you.

Allocate some time to do this, as it's quite a lengthy process with the tailgate trim refitting etc.  Take your time and you'll be Golden, good luck mate! :happy2:

So having a quick look at the boot.
I take it I remove it from these locations.

Remove these

Then pop this off?

But the wires shown below

Is this best to remove from the boot panel or inside the car? One of both sides.

I haven't had my new tailgate yet, perhaps it mall makes sense once I see what I'm working with. Just forward planning.

Just look at the tailgate wiring part on this thread and you'll see what's what

Disconnect at the C panel and the fixings you've indicated - (bit of help so you don't drop it on removal and refitting) and it's pretty straight forward as Scottymon stated! :happy2:
