Yeah it always seems silly doesn't it. Could've bough a whole other GTI for my turbo build by the time it was done  :rolleye:. Got to pay to play though  :laugh:

When I had my astra VXR and parked it in the Inlaws garage I had to climb out the window and the hold the lock button to close it lol

@maxitrol Just looked through your build thread, great work! I'm a fellow TDI owner, but building towards a GTB2260 upgrade.

One thing I found interesting in your thread is the s3 gear selector... did this make a real difference was it worth doing?

Also I find my changes from 1st to 2nd are pretty clunky, it never crunches but it's not smooth like all the other changes. Is this just a common problem that us Mk5 owners have to live with, I would assume the s3 selector wouldn't help with this, as it seems only slower gear changes help.

the s3 selector is a good upgrade as it is less travel through the gears.The gear change should be as smooth as the others between 1st to 2nd.Check the cables and the bushes and the linkages

This looks gorgeous mate, the transformation is stunning! and by the looks of things could strike fear in the eyes of a standard GTi.
