Front brake options GTTDI

<< < (2/2)

skard:
The front caliper is the same between 2.0TDI and standard ED30, just a slightly different carrier between 288/312 discs - pads remain the same.

I had the 312mm setup on my remapped 2.0TDI and they were ok, not so much of an upgrade on a mk5 unfortunetely.

I had the 345mm R32 setup on my TDI and needed nothing more.

Oh seriously so all I needed was the carriers? I did try research it but couldn't find any specifics. The r32 or tt upgrade would have been nice but decent discs and pads should do me. I couldn't find much info on the rears I'm guessing its an upgrade from say 255 to 280ish? What is it?

I could sell the fronts and keep the carriers although the new brakes are all painted which is a bonus.

Ultimately I want no more than a hybrid setup long term but will probably run sub 200hp for a long time so these should be ideal. My Ibiza was 185-190hp although lighter the brakes were lethal as standard 312s.
