Collinite 476s is all I ever use on my car (for the most part) and it lasted from late August till early January before I needed to top it up.

However I try to wax it at least once a month, because I enjoy it and I like the beading to be strong. But I do a lot of tests on my car using different products and samples, one month I may have carpro Reload on one panel, Meguiars on another, etc.

I'm going to be using CQUK soon as this is probably an ideal coating for me and what I want. It's sat in my drawer unfortunately until I've had some more paintwork on the car!  :sad1: otherwise it gets covered in overspray - Plus it actually adds hardness to the paint and in effect another layer of lacquer (even though it's not lacquer, it's the easiest way to explain) so brings about a darkening effect (and thereby increasing contrast and thus the appearance of shine!)  :popcornsoda:

A friend recently completed a heavy enhancement detail on a Nissan GTR using Cquartz Finest.  The difference before and after the coating seeing it in the flesh was noticeable, however the true quality of the paint came from the polishing. No amount of waxing/sealing would improve the finish without first correcting the paintwork - waxes/sealants/coatings are not miracle products!  :surprised:

This is after the coating has gone is still hardening hence the Infrared lamps.

I agree the polishing stage is very important to make the most out of finished product. And with wax I've tried plenty and find myself keep coming back to the same sort of brands as I know I can get the finishe I like from it. HD wax is a nice finish and great value for money but I would have a look at one of the pro series from dodo juice purple haze or blue velvet pro are great waxs, the haze is a softer wax that I prefer out of the two. Or for a more natural wax supernatural I've had fantastic results from. Only thing I would say is anyone you choose following the recommended cure times and for ease of use and finish

Don't get suckered into premium products. I wasted £100 on DJ Supernatural and I was sorely disappointed. Quite like the new autofinesse desire.

Which is EXACTLY the same as this just at half the price!

Because Angelwax made it and Autofinesse whored it out. Like so many of their products.
